ANKARA – Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the incumbent president of Turkiye, often referred to as the ‘Ottoman Empire’s Sultan’ has secured his third term in Sunday’s presidential election runoff, solidifying his position as the country’s most dominant and popular political figure.

Erdogan, who has been in power since 2003, has overseen a period of considerable economic growth and infrastructural development in Turkey.

The President has promised to focus on economic reforms, addressing inflation and further enhancing Turkey’s regional and internation standing.
